Back to Work

Back to Work: ready for rainy workdays

The holidays are over, school is back in session, and slowly the normal rhythm returns. But late August and September can still be quite warm. A thick autumn or winter coat is often too much then.

That's why we have put together ourBack to Work collection: waterproof, windproof, and breathable raincoats that are perfect for this time of year.

Ideal for the office, taking the kids to school, a walk during lunch, or simply for any day when you don't know what the Dutch weather will do.

Which jacket do you wear in late August and September?

During this period, alight rain jacket or transitional jacketis often the best choice. You are protected during a downpour, but you don't immediately walk around in a thick padded jacket.

Awaterproof softshell jacketis also wonderful during the first cooler days. Softshell is windproof, breathable, and soft on the inside. Please note that not all seams are taped. For prolonged heavy rain, it is therefore better to choose a fully waterproof rain jacket.

To work or school by bike

Precisely when the daily rhythm starts again, a good rain jacket on the bike suddenly becomes very important.

Pay attention not only to waterproofing, but also to breathability and sufficient freedom of movement. A longer jacket provides more protection, and a two-way zipper or split can make cycling much more comfortable.

Do you cycle longer distances daily? Then also check out ourrainwear for cycling.

From workday to weekend

The nice thing about the jackets in this collection is that they don't look like typical rainwear.

You wear them to the office, during the school run, on the bike, and on the weekend. On cooler days, combine your jacket, for example, with ascarf or beanie.

This way, you are prepared for rain and wind, without feeling in August that your winter coat needs to come out of the closet.

Frequently asked questions about Back to Work rain jackets

Which rain jacket is suitable for commuting?

Choose a waterproof, windproof, and breathable jacket that suits your mode of travel. On the bike, sufficient freedom of movement, length, and a practical zipper are extra important.

Which jacket do you wear in September?

September can still be warm, but also wet and windy. An unlined rain jacket, light transitional jacket, or softshell is therefore often a good choice. On colder days, you can easily wear an extra layer under your jacket.

Is a softshell jacket waterproof?

The fabric of our softshell jackets has high water resistance, but not all seams are taped. This makes them ideal for changeable weather and a rain shower, but for prolonged heavy rain, we recommend a fully waterproof rain jacket.
