The softshell jackets at Hipinderegen are made of fabrics with high waterproofness. Depending on the model, the water column can be, for example, 8,000 or 10,000 mm. However, with softshell, not all seams are taped.
As a result, the fabric can withstand rain very well, but with prolonged or heavy rain, moisture can eventually penetrate through the seams.
So for a normal rain shower, softshell is a great choice. Do you know that you will be in heavy rain for a long time? Then we recommend a fully waterproof rain jacket.
When do you wear a softshell jacket?
Especially during spring and autumn, a softshell comes into its own. The soft inner lining provides just that extra warmth during chilly mornings, while the breathable material remains comfortable when the temperature rises later in the day.
