Seasalt Plant Hunter – warm waterproof women’s winter parka

A winter coat that looks good, feels wonderfully warm, and keeps you dry when it rains? The Seasalt Plant Hunter is a coat you'll happily put on every day, even when the weather is less than cheerful.

This warm winter parka combines Seasalt's distinctive British style with excellent technical features. With a waterproof rating of 5,000 mm, fully taped seams, and a breathability of 5,000 g/m²/24 hours, you are well protected against rain and wind.

Inside, soft fleece and warm padding ensure that the Plant Hunter feels wonderfully snug, even on cold autumn and winter days.

Patchwork Bloom Squall is a distinctive botanical print with that typical Seasalt look. Playful and colourful, yet very wearable in autumn and winter due to its natural shades.

A great choice if you'd rather not spend rainy winter days in a standard dark coat.

The Plant Hunter is part of the Seasalt RAIN® collection and is truly made for changeable weather.

Protection against typical Dutch winter weather:

• PFC-free waterproof coating

The breathable material helps to wick heat and perspiration outwards. This makes the Plant Hunter not only great for daily use but also for a longer walk or an active day outdoors.

Typically Plant Hunter: practical with a feminine fit

The Plant Hunter has a relaxed waisted fit. The drawstring at the waist allows you to decide how much shape you give the coat.

The back is also typical parka: the hem is a bit longer and has a shaped split, providing extra protection and ample freedom of movement.

Furthermore, the Plant Hunter features:

Choose the Plant Hunter if you:

Choose the long Janelle Coat if you:

• Want a longer coat that reaches roughly to the knee
• Seek maximum coverage against rain and cold
• Prefer a smooth recycled nylon outer fabric
• Appreciate the waterproof back zip for extra freedom of movement

And if you prefer a shorter model? Then the Janelle Jacket is a great option.

All three are warm, waterproof, and breathable Seasalt coats. The main differences are in length, material, appearance, and fit.

Material

Outer fabric: 68% organic cotton and 32% recycled nylon

Fleece lining upper body and hood: 100% recycled polyester

Lining lower body and sleeves: 100% recycled polyester

Padding: 100% recycled polyester

The outer fabric is made from Seasalt Tin Cloth®: a family of strong twill fabrics specially developed by Seasalt for waterproof clothing.

The combination of organic cotton and recycled nylon also gives the Plant Hunter a different look than a fully synthetic rain jacket.

Made with care

Seasalt uses both organic and recycled materials for the Plant Hunter. The cotton in the outer fabric is organic, and recycled fibres are used for the nylon, lining, and padding.

The waterproof coating is also PFC-free and made without perfluorinated compounds harmful to the environment.

It primarily looks like a beautiful parka, but meanwhile, it's also fully waterproof, windproof, and breathable. And thanks to the fleece and warm lining, it's truly a wonderful coat for autumn and winter. Just keep the size in mind: it runs smaller than you might expect.
