Seasalt Plant Hunter winter parka – warm, waterproof and wonderfully comfortable

That kind of winter coat you put on as soon as it gets cold, wet and bleak outside – and actually don't want to take off anymore. That's the Seasalt Plant Hunter.

This warm winter rain coat combines the recognizable British design of Seasalt Cornwall with everything you need during a Dutch autumn and winter. The coat is completely waterproof, windproof and breathable and has wonderfully soft fleece on the upper body and in the hood on the inside.

With a water column of 5,000 mm, fully taped seams and a breathability of 5,000 g/m²/24 hours, you are well protected against rain and wind. The warm recycled padding ensures that you can comfortably go outside even on cold days.

And then that fit: feminine and slightly tailored, with an adjustable waist and the characteristic slightly longer parka back. Practical, comfortable and typically Seasalt.

Warm and completely waterproof

The Plant Hunter is made for those days when the weather goes in all directions. Rain, wind and cold: you just want to put on one coat that fits you well.

The outer fabric has a water column of 5,000 mm and all seams are fully taped. This makes the Plant Hunter a full-fledged waterproof winter rain coat that you can confidently put on when rain is forecast.

At the same time, the fabric has a breathability of 5,000 g/m²/24 hours. This allows heat and perspiration to be wicked away more effectively. This is especially pleasant during a brisk walk, when you walk the dog or regularly cycle.

On the inside, Seasalt provides that little bit of extra comfort. The upper body and hood are lined with wonderfully soft fleece. The rest of the coat has warm padding made of recycled polyester.

The result is a winter coat that keeps you warm and cozy, without feeling heavy or unnecessarily thick.

A well-thought-out fit

The Plant Hunter has a feminine, slightly tailored fit. With the drawstring at the waist, you can decide how much shape you give the coat.

The back extends slightly longer in the characteristic parka shape and has a shaped split. This provides extra freedom of movement and just a bit more protection during wet and windy weather.

The fleece-lined hood is adjustable and the cuffs can also be adjusted with snaps, so that wind and rain are less likely to get in.

Smart details for every day

The Plant Hunter closes with a zipper and an extra row of snaps at the front. This gives wind and rain even less chance.

The front pockets have protective flaps and offer enough space for the items you like to have with you on the go.

It is precisely these practical details that make the Plant Hunter such a nice coat for daily use: to work, during a walk, on the bike or simply when you have to go outside on a cold and rainy day.

Fit and size advice

Please note: the Plant Hunter is quite small. Our advice is therefore to choose one size larger than you normally wear.

I usually wear coat size 38 / M, but for the Plant Hunter I choose size 40. Then the coat fits nicely and I also have enough room for a thicker sweater underneath.

If you are in doubt between two sizes? Then definitely choose the larger size.

Outer fabric: 68% organic cotton, 32% recycled nylon

Lining lower body and sleeves: 100% recycled polyester

Fleece lining upper body and hood: 100% recycled polyester

Padding: 100% recycled polyester

The combination of organic cotton and recycled nylon gives the outer fabric a pleasant, soft look. Seasalt's strong Tin Cloth® material is at the same time designed to withstand a good dose of outdoor life.

Maintenance

• Wash at 30°C

• Do not use fabric softener

• Wash the coat as little as possible

• Let the coat dry and air well after use

• Preferably use a suitable detergent for waterproof clothing

• If necessary, treat the coat again with suitable impregnation

Made with care

The Plant Hunter is part of the Seasalt Rain® collection, which combines good weather protection with consciously chosen materials.

For the outer fabric, organic cotton is combined with recycled nylon. The lining and padding are made of recycled polyester.

The water-repellent treatment is also PFC-free and therefore made without perfluorinated compounds that are harmful to the environment.
