Seasalt Janelle Coat – long waterproof winter coat for women

A long winter coat that keeps you warm and dry, even when the weather outside is truly bleak? The Seasalt Janelle Coat has been a long-standing favourite in our collection for a reason.

This knee-length winter coat combines the look and comfort of a lovely everyday coat with the technical features of a good rain jacket. With a water column of 5,000 mm, fully taped seams, and breathability of 5,000 g/m²/24 hours, you are well protected against rain and wind, while the warm lining ensures you'll love wearing it on cold days.

Wade is a soft, muted light blue shade with a subtle blue-green undertone. Fresh without being bright and a beautiful choice if you want something different from the usual dark winter colours.

Warm and comfortable:

• Soft fleece lining in the upper body and hood
• Warm padding for extra insulation
• Smooth lining in the lower part and sleeves
• Long length, approximately knee-length, for extra warmth and protection

This is where the Janelle truly excels. It is not only warm but also designed to protect you well during a heavy downpour.

The breathable material helps to wick away heat and perspiration. This makes the Janelle not only great for daily use but also for longer walks and days when you spend a lot of time outdoors.

Extra long, yet still plenty of freedom of movement

The length is precisely what makes the Janelle so great when it rains or is cold. The jacket falls to approximately the knee, thereby protecting a large part of your legs.

But Seasalt has also considered freedom of movement.

At the back, there is a split with a waterproof zipper. You can open it when you need more room, for example, when cycling or when walking briskly.

Janelle Coat or Janelle Jacket?

The Janelle family now has a shorter sister: the Seasalt Janelle Jacket.

Which one you choose mainly depends on the length you prefer.

Choose the Janelle Coat if you:

• Appreciate having your upper legs covered
• Are looking for a long coat for walking, cycling, and daily use

Choose the Janelle Jacket if you:

• Prefer a shorter winter coat
• Are looking for an easy-to-wear model for everyday
• Want the warmth and protection of the Janelle but need less length

Both models combine that typical Janelle warmth with good protection against rain. The difference, therefore, mainly lies in length and wearing feel.

Outer fabric: 100% recycled Tide Cycle® nylon

Fleece lining upper body and hood: 100% recycled polyester

Lining lower body and sleeves: 100% recycled polyester

Pocket lining: 100% recycled polyester

Padding: 100% recycled polyester

For the outer fabric, Seasalt uses Tide Cycle® recycled nylon: a strong outer fabric designed to be worn season after season.

Made with care

The Janelle uses a lot of recycled materials. Both the nylon outer fabric and the polyester lining and padding are made from recycled fibres.

The waterproof treatment is also PFC-free and made without perfluorinated compounds harmful to the environment.
