Warm and fully waterproof

The Janelle is designed for the capricious weather on the coast of Cornwall – which naturally makes it just as suitable for our Dutch autumn and winter.

The outer fabric has a water column of 5,000 mm and all seams are fully taped. Rain cannot penetrate through the stitching, making the jacket completely waterproof.

Additionally, the Janelle is windproof and the fabric has a breathability of 5,000 g/m²/24 hours. This allows perspiration and excess heat to be better wicked away. Great when you are walking, cycling, or spending extended time outdoors.

Wonderfully warm without feeling bulky

Inside, Seasalt has combined different materials to balance warmth and freedom of movement beautifully.

The upper body and hood are lined with wonderfully soft fleece made from recycled polyester. The lower part has a smooth, padded lining. The sleeves are also smoothly lined, making it easy to put on the jacket over a sweater.

This way, the Janelle feels warm and cozy where you want it, without the entire jacket becoming heavy or bulky.

Extra length for extra protection

The Janelle falls approximately to the knee and is slightly longer at the back. This gives you just a bit more protection against rain and wind than a shorter winter jacket.

The fit is comfortable and relaxed, making the jacket pleasant to wear during daily use.

The hood is not only adjustable but also fully detachable. The brim at the front helps keep rain out of your face.

The cuffs are also adjustable, allowing you to tighten them around your wrists when it's cold or windy.

Fit and size advice

Please note: our experience shows that the Janelle runs quite small. Our advice is therefore to choose one size larger than you normally wear.

I usually wear jacket size 38 / M, but for the Janelle, I choose size 40. This way, the jacket fits comfortably and leaves enough room for a warm sweater.

If you are in doubt between two sizes? Then definitely choose the larger size.

Care

• Wash at a maximum of 30°C

• Do not use fabric softener

• Wash the jacket as little as possible

• Hang the jacket to dry thoroughly after use

• Preferably use a detergent for waterproof clothing

• If necessary, re-treat the jacket with a suitable impregnation

Made with care

The Janelle makes extensive use of recycled materials. Both the nylon outer fabric and the polyester lining and padding are made from recycled fibers.

Moreover, the water-repellent treatment is PFC-free and made without perfluorinated compounds harmful to the environment.
