HELOX+® TECHNOLOGY
This women's raincoat is made using the Helox+ technology specially developed by Helly Hansen. About this technology: In 1877, Helly Hansen was born with the desire to protect his sailors from the harsh Norwegian climate. Captain Helly Juel Hansen invented jackets and trousers with 'oil skin'. These 'oil skins' were then made of coarse linen soaked in linseed oil.
In 1949 further developments brought about Helox. The first of its kind. Originally a thin sheet of translucent PVC plastic sewn into jackets to make them waterproof. This revolutionary technology has since been re-developed to protect our environment. Products with the same look are now coated with 'PU' as a replacement for the dangerous PVC.

Resource conservation and environmental friendliness. This item is partly made from recycled materials. The use of recycled materials, mainly polyester, reduces the dependence on the non-renewable raw material crude oil in conventional polyester production. By reusing plastic waste, e.g. PET bottles, new polyester fibres are obtained.
