This warm winter rain coat combines Seasalt Cornwall's distinctive British design with everything you need during a Dutch autumn and winter. The coat is fully waterproof, windproof and breathable, and features wonderfully soft fleece on the upper body and in the hood on the inside.

With a water column of 5,000 mm, fully taped seams and a breathability of 5,000 g/m²/24 hours, you are well protected against rain and wind. The warm recycled padding ensures that you can go outside comfortably even on cold days.

Warm and fully waterproof

The Plant Hunter is made for those days when the weather can't make up its mind. Rain, wind and cold: you just want one coat that does the job.

The outer fabric has a water column of 5,000 mm and all seams are fully taped. This makes the Plant Hunter a fully waterproof winter rain coat that you can confidently wear when rain is forecast.

At the same time, the fabric has a breathability of 5,000 g/m²/24 hours. This allows heat and perspiration to be wicked away more effectively. This is especially pleasant during a brisk walk, when you're walking the dog or cycling regularly.

On the inside, Seasalt provides that little bit of extra comfort. The upper body and hood are lined with wonderfully soft fleece. The rest of the coat has warm padding made from recycled polyester.

The result is a winter coat that keeps you warm and snug, without feeling heavy or unnecessarily bulky.

A thoughtfully designed fit

The Plant Hunter has a feminine, slightly tailored fit. With the drawstring at the waist, you can decide how much shape you want to give the coat.

The back extends slightly longer in the characteristic parka shape and has a shaped split. This provides extra freedom of movement and a little more protection during wet and windy weather.

The fleece-lined hood is adjustable and the cuffs can also be adjusted with snap buttons, making it harder for wind and rain to get in.

Smart details for every day

The Plant Hunter closes with a zip and an extra row of snap buttons at the front. This further reduces the chance of wind and rain getting in.

The front pockets are equipped with protective flaps and offer sufficient space for the items you like to carry with you on the go.

Fit and sizing advice

Please note: the Plant Hunter runs quite small. Our advice is therefore to choose one size larger than you normally wear.

I usually wear coat size 38 / M, but for the Plant Hunter, I choose size 40. Then the coat fits well and I also have enough room for a thicker sweater underneath.

If you are in doubt between two sizes? Then definitely choose the larger size.

The combination of organic cotton and recycled nylon gives the outer fabric a pleasant, soft feel. Seasalt's strong Tin Cloth® material is also designed to withstand a good dose of outdoor life.

Care

• Wash at 30°C

• Do not use fabric softener

• Wash the coat as little as possible

• Allow the coat to dry and air thoroughly after use

• Preferably use a suitable detergent for waterproof clothing

• If necessary, re-treat the coat with a suitable impregnation

The Plant Hunter is part of the Seasalt Rain® collection, which combines good weather protection with consciously chosen materials.

The outer fabric is made from a blend of organic cotton and recycled nylon. The lining and padding are made from recycled polyester.

The water-repellent treatment is also PFC-free, meaning it is made without perfluorinated compounds that are harmful to the environment.
