1. How warm should your winter coat be?

Not everyone has the same warmth needs. The right winter coat depends heavily on what you'll be using it for .

Ask yourself:

Do I stand or walk outside a lot?
Do I cycle every day?
Do I get cold easily?
Do I also go outside in snow or freezing temperatures?

👉 Do you go outside a lot and get cold quickly?
Then choose a well-lined winter coat with an insulating lining.

👉 Are you mainly on the move (cycling, walking)?
Then a jacket that is warm but breathable is often more comfortable.

Tip: You only really notice that your coat is too thin when the temperature drops below zero.

2. Waterproof, that's what you need!

In winter, waterproofness is at least as important as warmth.

Water-repellent : ideal for a light shower or dry cold
Waterproof : essential in (prolonged) rain, wet snow and winter showers

Do you go outside every day, do you cycle a lot or do you live in a windy area?

It's better to choose something warmer. You can always open a zipper, but you won't get the cold out.
