Warm and fully waterproof

The Janelle is designed for the unpredictable weather on the coast of Cornwall – which naturally makes it just as suitable for our Dutch autumn and winter.

The outer fabric has a water column of 5,000 mm and all seams are fully taped. This prevents rain from seeping in through the stitching, making the jacket completely waterproof.

In addition, the Janelle is windproof and the fabric has a breathability of 5,000 g/m²/24 hours. This allows perspiration and excess heat to be better wicked away. Great when you're walking, cycling or spending longer periods outdoors.

Wonderfully warm without feeling bulky

Inside, Seasalt has combined different materials to beautifully balance warmth and freedom of movement.

The upper body and hood are lined with wonderfully soft fleece made from recycled polyester. The lower part has a smooth, padded lining. The sleeves are also smoothly lined, making it easy to put on the jacket over a sweater.

This way, the Janelle feels warm and snug where you want it, without the whole jacket feeling heavy or bulky.

Extra length for extra protection

The Janelle falls approximately to the knee and is slightly longer at the back. This provides just that bit more protection against rain and wind than a shorter winter coat.

The fit is comfortable and relaxed, making the jacket pleasant to wear during daily use.

The hood is not only adjustable but also fully detachable. The brim at the front helps to keep rain out of your face.

The cuffs are also adjustable, allowing you to snug them tighter around your wrists when it's cold or windy.

Practical details for every day

At the front, the Janelle closes with a zip and an extra row of press studs for added protection against wind and rain.

You can store your belongings in the lockable zip pockets, and there's also a handy inner pocket.

A particularly practical detail are the reflective accents. Especially during dark winter days, evening walks or a stroll with the dog, a little extra visibility is naturally a nice bonus.

Fit and size advice

Please note: in our experience, the Janelle runs quite small. Our advice is therefore to choose one size larger than you normally wear.

I usually wear jacket size 38 / M myself, but for the Janelle I choose size 40. This way the jacket fits comfortably and there is enough room for a warm sweater.

If you're between two sizes, definitely choose the larger size.

Maintenance

• Wash at maximum 30°C

• Do not use fabric softener

• Wash the jacket as little as possible

• After use, hang the jacket to dry thoroughly

• Preferably use a detergent for waterproof clothing

• If necessary, treat the jacket again with a suitable waterproofing agent

Made with care

The Janelle makes extensive use of recycled materials. Both the nylon outer fabric and the polyester lining and padding are made from recycled fibers.

The water-repellent treatment is also PFC-free and made without perfluorinated compounds harmful to the environment.
